Two-Factor / Multi-Factor Authentication / 2FA / MFA
At Play Gun Lake, the security of your account is important to us. Starting September 1, 2022, in accordance with Michigan Gaming Control Board regulations, your account is required to receive Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) or Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) codes for login which are required to be sent through SMS text message to a mobile phone number.
What is Multi-Factor (MFA) / Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?
MFA or 2FA is an authentication method that requires the user to provide two or more verification factors to gain access to an online account or application. Rather than just asking for a username or email and password, MFA/2FA requires one or more additional verification factors, which decreases the likelihood of another individual gaining unauthorized access to your account. This process will verify your identity upon each login to the casino app and website and will be used to always keep your account secure.
How does MFA / 2FA work?
Each time you log in to your Play Gun Lake account, you will receive a SMS text message with a code to enter in the app (or on the website) to verify your identity and complete your login. Once entered, you will be able to access your account as normal. The verification code will be sent to your cell phone number on file.
What will the MFA / 2FA code look like?
There are two phone numbers you could see your code sending from. They are:
Upon signing in with your email address and password, on top of the login page you will see a window that lets you know your security token was sent to your phone. It will look similar to the below example screenshot.
Enter the six-digit code into the box on your login screen and click 'Verify' to proceed.
What if I don't receive a code?
There is an option on the login verification screen to resend the code.
